Class reductionism is the theory that class inequality is a more critical concern than other ‘secondary’ inequalities such as race, gender, sex etc. Class reductionists believe that solving class inequality will help solve most if not all other forms of inequality. In essence, they see all forms of inequality through the lens of class inequality.

The last few years of political discourse seem to suggest a rise in far-right and far-left extremism. This rise has popularised an old theory by a french philosopher, which states that both ends of the spectrum are similar. The theory critiques the straight-line representation of the political spectrum and provides justification for more of a horseshoe shape.
